Why the rush to sell? I'd really recommend finding a slot-based board before giving up on this. Finding Amiga parts can take a very long time - it's usually months before something I want becomes available.

I did find a slot based board and a MegaChip. Hence me selling this to offset the cost... trust me I would hold on to this if I wasn't picking up the other things...

It is really due to the incredibly helpful nature of the Amiga Users on this board. It truly is a wonderful resource!

I am getting an A2630. It isnt as fast (CSA 50 MHz vs. A2630 25 MHz) but if I get luck and find the RAM daughter board (DKB 2632 accepts 112 MB of SIMMs) I can install another 112MB of RAM on top of the 4MB that is already on it. So if anyone knows or finds a DKB 2632 keep me in mind!

I am taking the speed and MB hit because I can have a Megachip and FF/SD installed as well. I figure that is a better system.

Your ebay listing ought to mention this can also in theory be used in an A1000. Not too many 1000 accelerators out there.

The 2630 doesnt take SIMMs itself? Weird. Most CPU slot accelerators I've seen seem to take SIMMs, even if its weirdo GVP SIMMs. I also wonder if you could put on a faster CPU if you replaced the oscillator.

I think as an added bonus the 2630 is one of the few accelerators that let you install Commodore Unix. I've always wanted to play with that... mostly just curiosity though.

The A2630 is a Commodore accelerator and none of them ever took memory simms.  Yeah I have one and the DKB 2632 card but it's not as good as you think.  SCSI suffers greatly with this combo due to the 32-bit vs 16-bit issues of DMA.  You should see about getting another CPU card with onboard SCSI.  Though I have a Fusion Forty and a 2091 and it seems to be working ok, not very fast SCSI rates though, but I recall it's faster than the 2630 and SCSI I had been trying to get to work a few years ago.  Maybe it's the combo of card, I did have to swap out my GVP Series II as it did not like the F40 too much, the 2091 with Rev 7 ROMs seems to behave a lot better with the F40!

Years ago I had a GVP 040/33MHz combo board with 16MB and SCSI, that card rocked!

That is a sweet sweet accelerator... I can hear my 500, crying in the corner, telling me to sell bodyparts so I can get it...

I think ppl should only sell amiga parts at the beginning of the month so I can buy them as soon as I get paid! lol

Oh well.. Guess I'll play with my newly arrived A570 for a while instead (Yes.. I could just use the CDTV, but I don't wanna, I neglect my A500s too much and the CDTV regularly gets used to play music anyway :p)

Edit: Hmmm.. since it ends on the 23rd, I may be able to "borrow" some money from my wedding fund until next month >_>;;;
Hmmm... I hope my fianceƩ doesn't read this, or I'm gunna be in some serious trouble...
Back to action!

This product will work an a 1000, but will not fit without modifications to floppy drive caddy/should/shroud and likely a few 68K socket extenders.
