The AmigaInc soap opera is in its last season and the writing quality and acting shows it.

What's on the other station?

Not surprised, saddened.

I'm telling you, guys.  Once I win the lottery 10 or 20 times on a row, I'm buying AInc to make sure they get things done right.

Hopefully any new owner of bancrupt Amiga Inc won't go chasing Minimig or any other crap.
Maybe time the community bought it for a bargain? :-)

I studied business in school and as of yet, I cannot figure out what his strategy is.

Well, here's the thing... The entire strategy is that of misdirection.  As far as I can tell, there IS no strategy for making money from any products.  Yet, logic would dictate that there is a strategy for making money in there somewhere.  I'll leave the speculation at that.

Based on stock sales, AI(D) is worth about $93M, why its worth that much, you'll have to ask the people that actually bought into the company in the last couple of years.

WHA-WHA-WHAT?!?!  Site reference, please.  AFAIK, Amiga is a privately held company, not on any market, and does not have any stock, whatsoever.  A public company would need to report financials, etc...  Being private, AI doesn't fall under these requirements.

AI does have IP it can show it bought for millions that it owns.

Are there any of those patents that haven't already lapsed into public domain?  (anything patented in the US before this date in 1987 would now be entering PD)  As far as I know, the only "clean IP" left would be trademarks and logos, as it's the copyrights that are currently being fought over... ?

"I am truly surprise that Bill would embarrass himself and the company by showcasing how bad Amiga has kept its promises."

And you have still not figured out MR McEwen's m.o.  dude... shame on you.

I wonder what the Kent officials will have to say about Amiga Inc. tomorrow? Anyone have 2.5 million to loan to Bill?

:-D  Are so that's where the 2.5 million went, Amiga developed invisibility suits instead :-o

Are you sure the patent laws expire that soon? In any case, aside from trademarks and logos, I'm guessing they own copyrights on all Amiga branded software made by Commodore, Escom, and anything the other brand usurpers might've sold with the Amiga name. Software copyright falls under the same laws as books and music I think, which means most of us will be dead before its public domain.

I suspect that even if the hardware patents are still protected, at this point they are worthless except if some small cottage industry wanted to sell spare parts to vintage computer hobbyists. So... pretty damn worthless.

I don't think Amiga Inc was ever interested in actually naming the stadium any more than they are serious about producing new hardware, face it Amiga Inc is nothing more than an Indian IT Outsourcing Company with dreams of being something more.

AI probably just gave up because Nintendo beat them to the punch.  You can go to Safeco Field & order beers & food using your Nintendo DS.
