SCSI2 can handle 7 devices, one unit (usually id 7) is reserved for the controller itself.

Hm, never had B1260 here, just BPPC SCSI. There I had a friend build me a proper cable with lots of internal 50-pin connectors.

The BPPC SCSI has SCSI-II External Hi D-Sub connector. So the cable has matching connector and several SCSI Internal 50-pin connectors.

The end of the chain is terminated with active terminator.

Yes. Just what is that connector on the Blizzard 060 SCSI? It looks like a 9 or 15 pin edge connector. When I hooked up my CD drive I had to use the cable that I had from an external SCSI device inside the case.
I've tried all kinds of adaptors, but none of them work.
Anyone?

A Blizzard 1230/60 SCSI-kit has a 25 centronics connection, known as Apple FAST- SCSI2 connector. If you are going to buy SCSI-cables, buy good quality cables. Read the manual how to terminate the scanner. Sometimes it's difficult to configuring SCSI devices, but when it works, it works like a dream.

Which version of 1230scsi.device do you have?

If it's below 8.1, then you have problems with removable HD's and CD-rom's. To solve this problem, download softscsi from Aminet.
