Well I think we can rule out it being a simple faulty cable or floppy drive  :-(

Erm....When switching on while keeping both buttons held down do you see the usual

ENABLED - DF0   priority 5 ADOS trackdisk-0

in 'Boot Options....' of the 'Amiga Early Startup Contol'?

Yes exactly like that in the boot options.... Going to take a closer look at my system tonight!

No that is the problem :-) .. I mean the floppy is completely dead. Ok it gets power but the drive light never reacts and nothing happens. Amiga appear as if no floppy is connected whatsoever.
