Bad seller list
« on: July 14, 2007, 02:58:20 AM »
I created this thread as a sticky.  Update it with a *bad seller list*.  DO NOT POST IF YOU HAVE NOT WAITED AT LEAST FOR 1 MONTH.  If you are OVERSEAS, then WAIT LONGER!   Of course, unless you receive hostile replies indicating seller no longer cares to ship said item or return your money then post away.

Try not to write a long story, be brief, details and thats it.   For example, what you purchased, the price, where purchased, what did you try to do to resolve the issue and the buyers response (quoted if possible).

If you are the person of controversy, this isnt the thread to reply to "fix the situation".  Take care of it in email and when you two solve the problem, reply accordingly.

No general chit chat in this thread either.  Keep it on topic.

Thanks
Alex

boogiegail

she deleted her account on ebay. She must be using another account right now. I think she is not a bad person. Just too busy to send items that you bought from her.

I dealt with boogiegail too. I purchased a 4000 about a year and half ago. I payed instantly and about two weeks later she wrote and said the 4000 got dropped and damaged. She provided me with a refund. I think maybe she got someone to pay more and did not want to go through with the deal.

Another is Doomy or Retrogeek001 on ebay, he purchased some chips from me on ebay. He replied that he would send a money order and I stated that I do not accept money orders unless previously arranged as stated in my ebay sellers details. He responded with foul mouth and said I should have stated that in my ad. I told him I did if he could read the instructions. He then did not complete the deal. Well I guess every one knows Doomy. :-x

Let me make this clearer...  if someone doesnt complete a deal, dont post it.  You have your stuff that they didnt buy, you're not out anything, on top of that YOU are the SELLER and HE is the BUYER.    This thread is for BAD SELLERS not BAD BUYERS.

I think she took a short term 0% interest loan at your expense. I took a good look at her feedback. She sold a lot of things that never got delivered. The money was always refunded in 2 weeks to a month. She was also an extremely agressive buyer on Ebay. She was a real good sniper and never bid before the last 30 seconds of an auction. I was outbid by her on several auctions. She was doing this agressive buying with other peoples money a lot of the time and Ebay finally caught on--there was a ton of negative feedback in the last month of her Ebay carreer and some serious disputes. She sold an A4000, a PPC and Picasso IV card among other things that never got delivered. She alway had some excuse like it malfunctioned, or was lost in shipping but she was engaging in some serious financial shenagins and what she did to you and others could be considered a form of fraud. You were definitely not an isolated example.

Ok, I will not comment on your blog, I commented about a seller and you said I got a refund. I commented about a buyer and you said it about sellers. It seems you are defending the people I am talking about rather than moderating your post. I really do not know what you are looking for but good luck. :-D

In this case the buyer is also a seller--and a well known and notorious one at that--and I think it's valid to point out recurring pattern of conduct from one individual. Most Ebay sellers are buyers as well. The bad attitude and profanity is well represented in Doomy's feedback. The Ebay feedback system does work--not perfectly by any means--but it does work. Because I took the trouble to read the feedback of problematic sellers like Retrogeek and Boogiegail, I never dealt with them and so never had any problems with them or risked screwing up my own feedback with retalitory feedback from an anti social nut like Doommaster. I have also gotten good deals by checking out the feedback of someone with less than perfect feedback and seeing that they just had just one bad deal with someone and otherwise they are okay--if you're a relative newbie to Ebay and your feedback is say 10-30, all it takes is one bad deal from a bad seller to put your feedback in the low 90s. If there is a recurring complaint in the negative feedback--like profanity in Doomy's case--there is indeed a problem and this is a seller to be avoided.
