Corrupt Octamed disk... help
« on: July 11, 2007, 07:11:18 AM »
I've been using Octamed v4 on my A1200 for a while now, and the other day the Octamed floppy became unreadable... and I didn't have the forethought to keep a copy.

I have no way of copying ADF images to the 1200, and would like to get the thing back up and running to finish a project as soon as I can.

Therefore, would a kind soul possibly consider writing the Octamed v4 image to a floppy and posting it to me? Obviously I would be more than happy to cover the cost of time and materials by way of paypal/cash/cheque.

The program in question is freeware and is available to download from Aminet: http://aminet.net/package/mus/edit/OctaMEDv4 or here: http://amiga.emucamp.com/octamed4.htm

If anyone would be willing to do this it would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance  :-)

Yep, no floppy drive or serial cables... and even if I did have either of the two, I'd have no idea where to go from there.

I'm planning to eventually buy a PCMCIA to CF adapter for the express purpose of backing up my Amiga disks to the PC, but ideally I'd like to have Octamed up and running as a matter of urgency.

Anyone willing to assist?

What country are you in? If you're in the UK I would be happy to put the file on a floppy disk and send to you.

By the way, if you have a computer with a PCMCIA slot you might like to have a look at this.

You've got a new PM motorollin ;-)

That CF adapter kit is exactly what I intend on buying eventually.
