hardware market ????
« on: July 08, 2007, 11:08:17 PM »
I haven't been here in awhile (not doing much at all).

I have quite a bit of A2000 hardware I was thinking of
posting on EBay. I browsed EBay but didn't see much
interest in the hardware or anything else for that matter.

Is the market dead ??
I have ram cards, gfx card, MegaChips, accelerators, etc.
I won't list them if they'll only bring a dollar or two.

A.Org seems very active so the Amiga isn't dead yet.

Also, I keep getting a download request here to D/L
something called "SpecificClick".
Whats that all about ??

You'll get more than a dollar or two on your stuff.  But in case it doesn't, put them up with a reserve price.

I've seen MegAChips go for anywhere from $25 to $85.  Accelerators can fetch good money depending upon what they are.

I find the hardware market the opposite - expensive (at least for my taste). I have an A2000 that I'm trying to get all sorts of hardware for - just for nolstaga/hobby. I would suggest you google the hardware you have - it will find old auctions, so you can see what it sold for. If you want to PM me a list + price of what you have - maybe we can make a deal.

Joekster or anyone else interested in one or more
items I have can EMail me at  melott1@netonecom.net.

If you are looking for something... I may have it.

Offer what you think is a fair price... maybe we can deal.

I'm not looking to rip anyone off, but also I'm not just
giving this stuff away either.

I bought one for $24--$28 with shipping. I've seen them go for well above $100. The Amiga market is kind of crazy. I've seen this as both a buyer and seller. Certain things--like the megachip--fluctuate wildly. If you take good pictures and describe and document things well, you'll get good prices generally. Reserve prices discourage bidders and increase your ebay fees considerably. It's better and cheaper to set the minumum bid at the minumum amount you're willing to sell for. If I want to bid on something, I want that bid to count and I seldom bid on reserve auctions. There is an aspect of gaming to to Ebay and reserve auctions are no fun. If I win an auction, I want the prize.

A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

Some things that are exceptionally rare will sell for insane prices (DKB3128, Z3 Fastlane w/ RAM upgrade, etc..).

At the other end of the spectrum are things like stock A1000 CPUs, most games, mice, SIMMs, "Amiga formatted Harddrives", and "AMIGA xxxxxxx 'manual only'", etc...  These rarely sell as they aren't worth the cost to ship them.
Primary:
A4000T. Phase5 PPC604e-233mhz/060-66mhz. Mediator, Z3 Fastlane, Voodoo5, Delfina, X-Surf, AD516, Peggy Plus.

Collection:
A4000D, A1200, A500, Milan060 (Atari clone), Atari MegaSTE, Atari TT030, C64, C128, Mattel Aquarius, (2) HP Jornada....
