I paid $2200 for mine in 1999. Although mine has VlabMotion, Delfina Lite and Peggy+ , and the best accelerator for A4000T that has been produced plus CVisionPPC :D

Wow thats some bank.  Wish I was a millionaire, then I wouldn't think twice about throwing in some hella bids like that for a system like that.  Very clean looking inside it is.  Oh well one day I will have the money to toss at some auctions of that size.  Cheers.

I saw one loaded with cards--picasso II, Toaster 4000, TBC IV, PAR and a few I can't remember--listed once with minimum bid of $900--I thought about bidding but it would have stretched me financially way to much. No one bid and was relisted with $900 buy it now and $800 minumum. Didn't sell. I had bought my A4000D that week and didn't even think about bidding. Ebay can fluctuate to extremes. And this is the European market which is different than the American. I have seen several A4000Ts sell over the last few months for $600-800. This might just be a fluke event. There was an A4000D that sold a few months ago for something like $700 but since then the average price has been around $300--in spite of Doomy's best efforts. I hope this is a simular case.

A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

Actually..that price is pretty much right on the mark.  Might seem like alot of money..but ..thats what they are worth.. esp. with an Mark III board.

I'd pay good money for a good A4000D but the problem is when you have a 060 and it takes a dump its too expensive/not worth paying to replace it..so I just hobble along w/my a4000d 040 and am happy with it.

Yeah, I agree. For what a PPC card costs, I might as well buy a faster laptop and load it with memory and run WinUae on it. And I forgot to mention that the A4000T I really couldn't afford, had a 060 accelerator--I can't remember which one. Still, I'm happy with my A4000D. I like it's ergonomic case design and I didn't have to stress my finances to buy it.

Ah, an A3000T! How I'd love to get my hands on one of those... But not at that price :-(

Ebay is indeed pretty wicked sometimes, both sellers and buyers. In Holland, there are a few guys who are selling stuff at pretty high Buy It Now prizes, yet somehow they seem to sell quite some stuff, especially to Australians. There must be some serious lack in Amiga hardware there (and a serious overflow of money...)

Currently there are a P-IV for 325 Euro (starting bid 300), a 4000/040 for 400 Euro, and a BPPC (160 Mhz) for 425 Euro.

Madness, if you ask me. And they also raid the local market (Dutch ad websites) from the nice Amiga stuff, only to make profit...
