Hi All,

This is my first post in this forum which I am following quite a while now. First of all it is good to see that there are still a lot of people working with this incredable machine all around the world.

My question/story is the following.

I replaced the internal floppy drive in my Amiga 1000 for one I bought at versalia in germany. This is working fine until I attach some external drives to the machine. In the workbench the external drives don't see a disk change and keep on ticking like they are still waiting for a disk change. When I disconnect the internal drive an flip the switch to make the external drive df0:, the external drives function propperly. So I think that the internal drive is keeping a signal occupied. I don't have the equipment to investigate this so maybe one of you know the solution for this? I don't have a brand of the floppy disk drive since the drive has no name on it.

King regards,

Crash 71

Has anyone any idea or a place where I can look further?

I think the 0/1 switch. On the external drive is a on/off not df0:/df1:
