I have the game and must admit that it is enjoyable and has great graphics for its time. But I think it has only become so valuable and sort after because someone started a rumour that it was :-)

Although I must say that the combination Moonstone and Amiga give no returns on Ebay (apart from this one).
Still, 265 Euro is WAY too much for a BIN. I wonder what the game would go for when there was a start price of 0,01....

Moonstone always commands crazy prices.
It usually goes for 100-250 USD lately.

Is it the game itself? Can't be cos you can find a free download somewhere on the internet!

Is it something on the box/instructions?

You should have seen the prices for some rare Atari 2600 games some years ago. Some carts went for >$1500.
