I would gladdly pay for Miami, would that there was a way to order it.

Abaondonware is that which is no longer able to be acquired legally. Period.

I am kicking myself that I never purchased a copy, way back when...

Yeah, and I am kicking myself for losing the keyfile for my purchased version of Miami that never got installed.  I remember buying Miami Deluxe right as I was getting into using other PC at home and very busy at work.  I sort of got lost in the land of Windows and stopped using my Amigas for a while.  When I came back, I had lost the Miami Deluxe keyfile or key code, or what ever it was that unlocked the program and gave full use of all the features.

I wish I could find it, but not likely. :cry:

Good thing that at least with OS4 the TCP/IP stack issue is solved, finally.

Solved?  As far as I know Hyperion still haven't paid Olaf for it, yet they claimed they would pay him on release of OS4.  Which was in 2004 if you beleive the documents they submitted as evidence in court.

Far from solved I'd say.

Groan. Can anybody else confirm this? There must be some sort of curse on TCP/IP stacks on Amiga  :-o

Isn't Termite TCP still available from dealers?

Genesis on AmigaOS 3.9 may be unlicensed but unlike Miami in 3.5 it is not as crippled as that. As far as I know its practically the full version. I have used it and never came across any thing that was 'crippled' in it.

I do recommmend getting OS 3.9 as its still available unlike other TCP stacks (Termite TCP was done by HiSoft which is no more...).

It's the full version. The license payments were never made, and the transfer of rights to Haage & Partner violated the license agreement, too. In a matter of fact, every sold AmigaOS 3.9 copy contains pirated software (pirated by Haage & Partner).

Piru, while i understand your point you have to understand that we have purchased it along AmigaOS3.9 and we (at least me) didn't know of this issue.

To blame user/s because he is using a "pirated copy of Genesis" it lands nowhere.

@Framiga

Where did I blame the user(s)?

I was even careful to point out that Haage & Partner is the wrongdoer here.

And yes, I'll continue to point to this problem whenever AmigaOS 3.9 included AmiTCP/IP is presented as spanking perfect solution for lack of TCP/IP. Unfortunately it is not.
