Amiga OS 3.9

Hi,

I have an Amiga 1200+ks3.1+030accelerator(33 mhz)+32mb RAM +FPU+MMU.What kind of performance would I get with OS 3.9 or should I just stick with wb 3.1 or possibly 3.5.I still want to play games via whdload.Thanks in advance for any help.

That depends.. How much Fast RAM do you have installed?

TBH you will get better performance with 3.1 using that configuration. 3.9 has a lot more features than you probably need for just WHDLoad games, so with an 030 processor I would stick with 3.1.

it just needs no more than 16-32 colors in wb and runs really fine

Maybe he edited his post. You guys sure a 33MHz 030 will be powerful enough for 3.9? I know it will work, but how smoothly?

That speed should be fine as long as there's not too many enhancments added after... My A2000 030 at 20MHz works quite well with it.. although at that speed MUI apps tend to load a bit slowly, but everything else seems fine
