Fusion and CGX video drivers
« on: June 14, 2007, 10:30:25 AM »
Due this thread I started Fusion yesterday as I used to do few years back but get only a gray screen, when i hit any key or mouse button Amiga hanged (no gurus). After few more tries i find out it is due video driver set (or at least changing video driver let me boot into MacOS). I used the cgx4DirecXL. Most CGX windowed drivers worked but on the right side of the Fusion window showed strange stripes.
Native video drivers works fine but slow...

Any ideas welcome! BTW but the MacOS 8.1 is running fine.

Amiga 4000/CVPPC060/CV643D

settings - enviroment: supergels, wbpatspeedup, hirescrsr, superlayers
settings - minitor tooltypes: advancedclk, scrollmask, bitmacache, passthrough

Fusion v 3.3 + video driver cgx4DirecXL v3.1

Fusion 3.3? Wasn't 3.2 the latest? If you ahve 3.3 I'd like to try ;-).

I found out that whatever driver I tried with Fusion ShapeShifter is faster.

Fusion 3.3 was released as unofficial update for registered users. I get it directly from Jim or Joe don't remember.

Well i find it more stable while using MacOS 8.1 and real hardisk instead of hardfiles. Too bad I can't ask authors where is the problem anymore :/
