Finally Got My A1200 Online!
« on: June 22, 2003, 08:07:04 PM »
Finally Got my A1200 online, so I thought I'd share.

Browsing isn't as bad as I thought (using the latest AWeb Open Source Build. :-) )

All the buttons in Aweb however are black, and the URL box is black text on black, and I can't for the life of me work out how to change them ? I'm running in 64 colours btw (no gfx card), and I'm online going to be surfing occasionally.

Cheers,

-Jar.

Welcome :)
I'm online with my A1200 AGA machine too.

Why not to use IBrowse 2.3 on AGA? It much better, faster, MUI enabled, etc :)

Works very well here.

Um, IBrowse 2.3 and MUI are pay-for type programs arn't they ?

I'm not sure I want to spend money on something that is really just a project-hobby.

Congrats :)

Got my A4000 online myself yesterday :)

I'm pretty proud of myself who got it all working on the first try with Miami and a Serial cable connected to a PC running Linux, pppd and Ip Masquerading. Not the fastest connection (57600) but it works :)
Slightly bored and severly confused..

Haaa, I went online a couple of days ago aswell with my BlizzardPPC and GRex via a network card.

Browsing is great with AWeb APL but browsing for a while to severall sites really shows why the AmiZilla thing has been started.
