Could this be a timing fix prob?
« on: June 07, 2007, 01:11:20 AM »
Hi
Yesterday i upgraded from a Blizzard 1260 to a Blizzard ppc 603+..

Now today i have had various problems such as my system crashing and not booting.

To cut the story short i had my CDRW on an ide chain with my Hard drive..
Sometimes the amiga wouldn't boot so during that time i removed the CDRW from the cable and plugged it in on another cable so it was on a single cable.

Then the machine booted but then lots of times after this the amiga would lockup, sometimes it might only of been a matter of seconds after booting up,other times it may be minutes.

So i then removed the drive from any cable so it was no longer connected to my powerflyer.
Since then i have had no problems at all,not a single one..

So i wonder if this is a timing issue or if the CDRW drive was faulty as a lot of the time it would tell me that there was a read/write error on discs that were perfect.

Oh and on my ATA3 prefs the CDRW was pio0?I have no idea how or why this happend as before hand i believe it was on pio3?

Well i think i will try another drive tomorrow to see what happens then.
