I've been trying to get ahold of a decent flicket fixer / scan doubler for a little while now.  I've missed out on a few ebay auctions, and currently there are none to be had even at Ebay.  All of the Amiga hardware dealer sites I've visted are either gone/under constructions/or no longer sell a external flicker fixers / scan doublers.   Anyone have any leads on where to buy a decent new one?

nothing wrong with a  shameless plug.  thats a good scan doubler, the only one better is the internal one!  Those work with 1200 and 4000s .

The only place I know is http://www.amigis.nl . They have two internal scandoublers for the A1200.

It's a dutch site though! I bought one a few weeks ago. They have more Amiga stuff, but I don't know if they deliver abroad.

You could also use a SCART/Composite -> VGA box which is effectively a ScanDoubler. Not specifically made for the Amiga, but much cheaper than a ScanDoubler.

Someone should start producing cheap external scandoublers.  They would make a lot of money.

What monitor do you intend to use it with? (Make/Model)

What do you want to do with your Amiga once connected to said monitor? (Play games, use Workbench, browse the net?)

Do you care that it is only 16-bit and not 24-bit? (You wont see as many colours as you should in AGA modes).

How much do you want to spend?
