It would even be cool if someone maintained a web page with links to the files you mention. It sounds like they would be exactly what I'd like to put on the system initially.

Everything else would be more customized by preferences.

surely amigasys would be a good option? that actually runs on a real amiga where as amikit does not. although i can't find what comes with it and the installation looks difficult...

I am sorry i made a mistake, Peter Hutchinson´s site is www.pcguru.plus.com. There you can leech some printer drivers.

There is also another set of patches to apply to correct bugs from 3.9 which are not in the Amikit package.

Just go to Aminet and download :

SCSI4344p.lha Patch for 43.43 scsi.device (3.9 BB2)
CacheCDFS4220p.lha  Patch for the 42.19 CacheCDFS (3.9)

I also leeched from the Amikit package Amplifier 2.35

You are right! someone shoul do web page of this stuff. I am sorry, i can only provide information, i am a tottaly inept person when it comes to building and mantaining websites.

    If you take the time to grab your summary and add links to where the files can be downloaded and I'll set up a webpage with the content on it.

You've already got all of the summary in the first post and a few add ons. If you have links to the files - I can add them to the page. At least there would be one page for all of the patches then, even if no one makes an installer script for them. Let me know.

It's not the best site but take my last name and add dot com. I'd be happy to set up a post OS 3.9 update site with your information.
