What did I miss?
« on: May 31, 2007, 01:39:56 PM »
Hey folks, its been a while!  I've just about given up on my Amigaing due to time & space problems (if I ever meet that Doctor Who I'm going to deck him).  WinUAE on my work laptop does for the occasional Skidmarks & pinball fix, and its still amusing to see workbench in 1680x1050 in decent colour ... I've finally given up using Arteffect for the Gimp, too.

Anywho, figured I'd just call in and see what I've missed  plus I recon its about time I found a good home for my old Amigas ... whats the market like for original machines these days?

Any good vapourware on the market these days?

Well, nothing much...

- Various parties have promised new "amiga" hardware.
- Amiga Inc sued Hyperion VOF. Some court docs, Oral Argument is next

hey Holley - good to see you back! :-)

IIRC you are Holley of Aros-Max fame, correct?

Aros has made large steps forward too, with basic usb support, themes, tcp-ip & some net apps -  the folks at aros-exec will fill you in...

Finally a female Amiga user on the forums.  I can't remember when I last saw a post from a female here. (probably has a sexy English accent like I like in her voice too)  Don't mind me, or my sexist remarks, I am just going through my second childhood as I have decided to retire early (will be 51 in a couple weeks) and I am having too much fun.

Welcome back!
