Caveman for Amiga ?
« on: May 29, 2007, 06:45:12 PM »
I have a game on my mobile phone called Caveman. Is that available for
Amiga ? In ADF ? ... ?

It's a little guy, who has to collect yellow little eggs, and push stones around.
He can get crushed by the stones, or crush enemys with them. Reminds me a
little about another game called Diamond.

Anyone who has an idea ?

Whoa, flashback... Was this originally a standalone game (like frogger, in it`s own case)?  Loved it as a kid!

EDIT - actually looking at the screenshot it`s nothing like it.  More like a Bomberman clone or something?

I don't have an answer for your question, but the topic made me think of the Geico Insurance commercials and the Amiga.

It would be a great spoof to make an Amiga commercial with the Amiga replacing Geico Insurance.

"AMIGA!  So easy a caveman can use it!!!"

Or how about this:

"Amiga, so old ONLY cavemen use them!"

I am one of those cavemen.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Looks like a boulderdash clone. Maybe you should search for that. Or look for Supaplex, or rockford.
Boulderdash was originally a Commodore 64 hit.

I remember playing that game but I think it was on the C=64 though, not the Amiga. I could be wrong...

Ah,
Well, then try Supaplex. I think it's far superior to Boulderdash.

@lurkist

I have an old Tandy "laptop" game that I got as a kid (would have been around '82 or '83 maybe) called "Caveman" -- is this what you're thinking of?

It was actually pretty fun and addictive, you had to go from your cave at one of the screen to a dinosaur at the other side and steal eggs before they hatched, then bring them back to the cave.  As you made it to the higher levels there were birds flying at you and falling volcanic ash...

Not at all related to the original topic, but not many people must have had one of these never mind still have one :)

Here's a Caveman game online
