Thanx to you guys here on Amiga.Org I now have Amiga OS3.5 running
under E-UAE on my iMac, but I still have a few problems... Most of it is
running and some problems as the background pic's that first appears after
5 minutes... well... I'll figure that out *S*

But big problems I have with.:

1.: When booting OS3.5 I get an error saying something like.
Unable to open "scsi.device 1"  ... (translated from danish,sorry)

2.: I can't run any .lha files, even not under the Amiga Formated HDD from
where I boot my OS3.5 - I download the programs directly to that drawer.

It always says. Unable to bla bla bla... Use UnArc

3.: And it often asks for the xad.library

What can I do ? Cos' every Unarc or xad.library file I download is LHA and that
I can't run.

Sorry for asking soooooooo much here, but you guys are so helpful

maybe you could post the content of your startup-sequence to give a little bit for information...

you are apparently missing lha itself, which you can get as self extracting archive from www.aminet.net, and put lha in SYS:c/

AFAIK xad does not use lha but its own routine (xadunfile) to extract datas from archives.
just grab and install xadmaster.library from aminet.

You have a DOSDriver in DEVS:DOSDrivers which is trying to mount a device on scsi.device. I assume that this device does not exist so you get errors when it tries to access it. Either remove the mountlist, or edit it so it points to the correct device for the device you want to mount.

It sounds to me like you didn't boot from an Emergency Disk when you installed OS3.5 so your install is borked. That would also explain the RAM errors you posted about in another thread.

I made an empty Floppy.ADF, and formated it. Then I created the Emergency Disc within the OS3.5 installer. I then wanted to boot from the E-Disc, but that
didnt work. It keep saying - "Please insert OS3.5 into any drive" .. I did insert it
into the cd-rom, but nothing happens ... How come ?

You need to make sure the EMERGENCY_CD mountlist in the DEVS:DOSDrivers drawer on the Emergency Disk is pointing to the correct device and unit so it can mount your OS3.5 CD-ROM.

well I have a nice OS3.5 booting now, with no error alerts on starting.
But I still can't run any .lha files within it :'( ... Where is Sys:/ ? A dumb Q
for a pro, but for me :-P it makes sence *LOL* - And it still sometimes
says "unable to ... "uae.device" or "scsi.device" ... But not on booting anymore.

I downloaded lha.run and xadmaster.library  but where to put them and how ?

Thank you

Ps:  Anyway - The Virtuel Migi is online... But slow :-)

lha.run is a selfextracting file. When you run it, it will extract some files. You should see a file called lha (or perhaps lha). Copy this file to c: as lha.
Open a shell and type copy lha c:

Now when you want to extract something type e.g lha x filename ram:junk/

About not finding C in WB, directories without icons isn't showed automatically. So you have to select "Show all files" in a menu (don't remember which one) to see thoose files and dirs without icons.

Then i supposed you didn't succeed in copying it to system:c/ or something is wrong with your paths.

start shell and type c:

and then list lha#? if you have lha there it should appear
when you list the files. Otherwise run the lha.run file, copy the file which is called lha which extracts from the lha.run file to c:

start shell. go to path where lha.run is located. type lha.run. copy lha (or lha114 or whatever it might be called) c:
