pls help me with amiga forever

Pls Help:
I am thinking about buying amiga forever (my amiga is a1200/030) to run aladdin 4d under emulation on my pc 900mhz. I read in the a4d group that many people run a4d under emulation and it works fine and is super fast on the pc.Basically..I know aladdin 4d is supposed to run fast on the pc using amiga forever.I have an 030/40mhz on amiga.
What is better? To buy an 060? or to get amiga forever and run a4d on emulation? thanks!!!

emulation..... or use something like cinema 4d, a nice moden 3d package or even blender  (free) on yOur pc....

AmigaForever is a nice package and worth trying first just because it is much less expensive than an 060 card (and more easily obtained and probably much better supported).

AmigaForever won't be very fast on your 900MHz PC.  As was suggested earlier, why not try out Blender instead?  It will run at native speeds on your PC.  BTW, what happened to your VideoToaster workstation?  Is it gone?

thanks for the tip. No, i did not get rid of my 3d workstation. I have a powerful lightwave/pentium system and it is the greatest..very, very fast.
But i also like aladdin 4d...which is currently available only on amiga. yes, i do have a nice lightwave system (which is all i need )but i would like to keep using aladdin 4d. My lightwave friends told me to forever quit amiga for 3d and use lightwave/pc forever. I still like aladdin 4d..and would like to take it to the limit, either by getting an 060/amiga or to get a fast pc w/ amiga forever. I already have the powerful pentium..so i don't need anything else. What i want is to take my aladdin 4d to the limit. thanks!!!!

I am not sure. I have never tried it on anything slower than AthlonXP2500+ or Intel 1,7Mhz. Anyway, why not try it yourself? You can extract the ROM out of your A1200 easily and use it with WinUAE (which is the core of AmigaForever anyway).

With the JIT CPU emulator of WinUAE, I think the PC will smoke an 060 in rendering, even "only" at 900MHz.
