OS3.9 on A1200/AGA best desktop screenshots?
« on: May 17, 2007, 05:21:09 AM »
So whats the best looking workbench desktop you can get on an A1200 running OS3.9?  8 colors? 16 colors? 256 colors? I'm talking about AGA chipset, not mediator with video card.

Anyone have any decent screenshots?

Trying to decide if it's worth it to upgrade to OS3.9 on my A1200 (68030+FPU+64MB fast ram).

I have a feeling this is whats going to make me want a mediator and tower...

'Best looking' OS3.9 Workbench on AGA is ofcourse 256 colours. But you have to keep in mind with more colours, your Workbench will react slower because of the lack of speed of AGA. Even if you use a fast turbocard.
Life sucks. Then you die. Then they throw mud in your face. Then you get eaten by worms. Be happy it happens in that order... My Amiga 1200

In fact I use 256 colours/DBLPAL on mine 3.1 Workbench. BTW: I have a 1230 card in the Miggy.:-o

Looks reasonable, 'till my brand-new Mediator comes. Then it will rest in peace.
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

There are some very nice AGA screenshots in the amiga.org gallery. Have a look at these:

What happens when a custom screen (HAM for example) is opened when using the mediator?
