Display problems .
« on: May 12, 2007, 12:58:54 AM »
I have just installed my 030 cpu ,then i booted into workbench every thing seems fine.

I looked at showconfig and it displayed the 68030.
I have added monitors to devs/monitors workbench draw to try and get my amiga on a monitor with a rgb to svga Connector but no luck so far.

The problem im having now is when i went to open hdtools the display went into a bunch of lines like the tv was out of sync also when i open some pics they skip about.

Pictures and applications worked fine before and did not display a fuzzy screen.
Do i need to take the monitors out of devs/monitors to get it working on the tv again or is my problem more serious :(

I think you probably just want to add in the one you actually want rather than all of them.

Not necessarily. You just need to make sure the monitor you have in DEVS is the correct one for the hardware you are using and the screenmodes you want to be able to use (and remove any others)

I changed tv and the png files seem to open but other programs
don't ,like deluxe paint and hdtools the screen frequency just goes crazy ,is there a way of changing resolutions for other applications.

You did select dblpal in the workbench screenmode prefs as well I take it?
Try Euro72 with nothing else in Devs Monitors.

I take it that it opens on its own screen?

I used to use a VGA monitor and had some apps that opened their own PAL screens which didn't work so I used to flip back to Workbench and then drag the WB screen down to reveal the app screen and it all worked as the WB screen being the front-most, held the display in VGA.
