It's going to take A LOT more. I'm working on it. BTW, I sent you a PM.

I have actullay read Methuselas's business proproal.  It makes a lot of sense and if it can be achieved then I can see how there could be a re-emergance of the platform.

I am a little confused.  Some random "John Smith" Amiga user (Methusela) with no financial backing or portfolio in Amiga business circles pops up from out of the blue with a "business proposal" and suddenly Amiga.inc, Hyperion, and other partners are supposed stop, listen and "see the light".  It would be great if it was true, but it just seems hard to take seriously.

It's not like those companies are UNAWARE that if they just "all stopped fighting and got along" they could accomplish something.  This much is obvious to us, and to them.  Unfortunately, there is a deep-rooted animosity between the parties that will take more than a "business proposal" to remedy.

Am I missing something?  Is there something more to this business proposal that will "entice" the companies to work together?  Does Methusela have a background in accounting, product distrubution, marketing, development?

I also received an email.  After all these years, I'm kind of skeptical.

I didn't get the email. Surely because that email address is dead and I can't access my whatever account on Amiga.com anymore to change it. Hopefully, if this email business is truthful, I'll get a piece of paper at the address where my t-shirt finally ended up.

All I said was that I sent Bill McEwen my proposal, today and that may have had something to do with the emails being sent out. It could be *VERY* coincidental that the email went out the same day as my business proposal, which is why I said "I hope I'm not wishful thinking".

And that is what it most likely is, just a simple coincidence. These mails would have been sent out regardless of your mail in my opinion.

I think it is more about the bad press and reputation that they have been having as of lately and this is simply done to try to fix their image again and i guess they also now got more financial backing than they did in the past.

I just hope it aint just words this time..

Just email webmaster@amiga.com. They'll sort it out, for you.

Oh and Bill Buck responded. :) We're going to be discussing this in more detail, in the next couple of days. This is getting even better.

More likely a response to Hyperion's announcement to raise it as a topic in the lawsuit imho:

"Following over 18 months of unproductive negotiations with Amiga Inc. through our management and attorneys, we welcome the opportunity to finally present our case in a court of law which was regrettably the only remaining avenue after Amiga Inc. repeatedly and consistently stonewalled any attempt to resolve the outstanding issues (including the “Party Pack” and “I am Amiga Club” voucher schemes and the failure to acknowledge the intellectual property rights of third party developers) through mediation and binding arbitration."

I'd just like to confirm that I also received the e-mail from Amiga Inc., like the original poster.

I'm amazed.  Apart from the surprise arrival of the T-Shirt some years ago, I haven't heard from them since they last publushed Club Amiga Magazine, in 2003, I think.

It's great that something seems to be happening!  :-)

Who said I'm helping them? I did this because I want a new amiga. The fact that they could stand to make money off it, is incentive.  ;-)

Aren't any of you pissed off that they're suing each other, but Amiga, Inc. is spending money on a Stadium? Aren't any of you mad that you haven't gotten anything for your "Club Amiga"  purchase? Is there even a "Club Amiga" left? What about the people that bought the "Party Packs"? What about the people who purchased Amithlon and now can't use it, since Amiga, Inc. never got a "licensing fee" from Haage & Partner for OS3.9 or the Kickstart ROMs. Amithlon never got substantial upgrades for it, because of it and Bernie Myer completely lost out on it? How about people like Bolton Peck, who WON their case and still haven't received compensation?

And last, but so not least, ow about the people who spent a grand on a shoddy motherboard, but now, they don't get their copy of OS4 until Amiga, Inc. who sues for it, neverminding the fact that Amiga, Inc. claims  in their lawsuit, that the motherboard you bought from one of their partners through a "license", isn't an "Amiga One" anymore.

So, they sold you product you could never use.

Didn't get the email, then again I don't have an amiga.org email address anymore. Though I did get my T-shirt.

Seriously, writing a few emails isnt going to change anything.

I suspect Ainc is presently very busy...

...trying to look like a competent company in light of oncoming legal challenges?  Dont be too disappointed when its over, if normal in-activity resumes. :-P
