Hmmmm...... maybe I should have bought a dozen of Party-Packs back when Vesalia was selling them at 10Euro a piece .....

Disclaimer:

No I don't believe for a second that AInc is actually gonna honour any coupons anytime.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

@Kronos

Perhaps for old times sake you could do a bet with someone over whether they will honour these coupons. ;-)

From the wording of the email it sounds like they are only refunding those who bought an A1 or who will buy an ACK board so Kronos was probably wise to miss out on the party packs :-)

I wonder if KennyR will be cashing in his $50 voucher against a nice new ACK system :roll:

BTW I wonder what happened with the guy that won the Club Amiga competition (Mentioned in the photo gallery).  Did he ever get his A1?  If not, will he now get an ACK board?  I wonder if he still even cares.

Call me a dreamer but I have a strong feeling they will pop up something for us.  Will it be good? That we'll have the next 5 years or so to debate in forums and flame at each others while typing on our new Miggy or our PC :lol:

When a company keeps low profile for a while it is normally because they are working on something.  Could be a "stock exchange related" silence or a general agreement between involved parties..? Who knows had a few thousand dollars to invest (or waste) in this project?  Been a millionnaire I know I would have put those guys to work way earlier!

I am not sure that any of the emails we send Ainc (either flames or flowers) will do any difference since the project mut have been under way for months now.  (I hope so cause I don't want a computer designed in 3 months...can't imagine the bugs!..)

@itix

That would have been sensible considering they were probably never going to send one, but John Hindle is apparently quite real.

Or it could be that they don't have any money at the moment.

When people start coming on this board, such as contractors etc., who say things like 'Hey, I worked for xxx months and never got paid-till now!  They just paid me with interest, I'm STOKED on Amiga again!'

Which is what I'll say when they do :-)

Only THEN will I believe the hype, or at least start to want to for real.

Cleaning their hands will involve a lot more than just promising to honor some coupons from 2002.

Wayne will probably mod this for being negative anyway.. :-(

Yep, I got mine too.
I was shocked. I don't plan to use it now though. I don't have the money these days.

LOL! Welcome back Starke.

I've been on Amiga.org, since 1999. I was here BEFORE the great crash of 2002. ;)

I too have been on this site since before the great gaping hole of 2002.  Actually I seem remember to haing to re-register twice around that time.

Anyway to the point.  I have actullay read Methuselas's business proproal.  It makes a lot of sense and if it can be achieved then I can see how there could be a re-emergance of the platform.

Cut the guy some slack, at least hes actually trying to accmplish something, even if it doesnt work at least he will have tried.  All i have seen on this site over the years is people {bleep}ing and backstabbing.  I can understand why, but most people are not prepared to do anything about it.

He is also not promising anything.  Come on people even if you think its a waste of time, it cant hurt show some support
