We need to stop the in-fighting, settle our differences and join forces. We are at WAR! This isn't a war between Amigans. This is a war against Apple, Microsoft, Linux and ANY individual or company insolent enough to make negative comments about the Amiga or the people who fiercely support it.

People who froth like you are a bunch of whackos, and AmigaOS and the never-never hardware suggested to run it is so out of date as to be laughable.  I've got a better Amiga in WinUAE for the occasional game ('cause buddy boy, the apps sure ain't there) than anyone has even remotely suggested get built in the last ten years.

There.  I can be your first target in this insane "war" on other people's opinions of yours.

Why are you here, then? Poor baby. When *YOU* attempt to do something positive for the community, I *REALLY* want to know about it. :roll:

Got the email too. I'd personally prefer to have my coupon back, but hey, I already got a T-Shirt... Who am I to complain? Anyway, I hope Hyperion has planned a driver for the GeForce 6200 cause that's the most powerful graphic card model you'll ever be able to purchase on PCI in the next decades, and for the same price as a Radeon 9250. Of course it's no competition against my X1950 GT AGP but it sure should blow the Jurassic old Permedia 2 (aka BlizzardVision) out of the water.

If they follow my outline, mate, that should start happening, in the next 3 months.

And I appreciate it. I did this, for us.

Are you providing financial backing?

I don't have to.

I got some mail from them too, with the same contents.

We'll see what happens.

And this proves what? That you have exchanged some e-mails with Bill McEven? I believe in all your words without a need of proofs. The problem is - the part you have exposed contains no facts, just some nice story. I guess you can't reveal any facts yet, so I should not estimate your credibility for now. On the other hand Amiga world is full of void promises, with Amiga Inc. being the top spreader of them. That is why I'm highly sceptical.

I notice your MorphOS avatar. I assume you have a Genesi board. I thought you'd like to know that the ONLY person who didn't respond favorably to my contact, was Bill Buck.

In fact, he didn't even respond at all. Food for thought.

Have you ever stopped to consider that "BBRV" are serious business people and dont always have time to respond to any old user email?

Also, until many people receive such an email can we deem this info credible.

@Methuselas

I notice your MorphOS avatar.

Yes, I'm a MorphOS enthusiast, as this system gives me real Amiga feeling on a relatively fast, high quality and affordable hardware.

I assume you have a Genesi board.

I have three of them.

I thought you'd like to know that the ONLY person who didn't respond favorably to my contact, was Bill Buck.

I can say nothing, not knowing the business part of your plan. The most probable reason is that he does not consider the plan as a serious business oportunity for him. But it is only my wild guess.

All I said was that I sent Bill McEwen my proposal, today and that may have had something to do with the emails being sent out. It could be *VERY* coincidental that the email went out the same day as my business proposal, which is why I said "I hope I'm not wishful thinking".

As for BBRV, well everyone else I contacted, responded the same day.

I didn't promise ANYTHING and not keep it. I didn't take your money, for nothing. I didn't do anything to prevent OS4 from coming out. God, are you ALL so soured that you can't just think that I took the initiative and did what everyone wanted someone to do?  :lol:

@Methuselas

Don't be so nervous. Noone accuses you for void promises, taking our money, or preventing AmigaOS 4 from coming out. I'm just sceptical and a bit ironic on the subject. You are saying, that you took the initiative, but what the initiative is - nobody knows. Also read please a few of your own words:

Well....I tried posting this, as a news article, but apparently, it's not considered news. (amiga.org)

I tried to post this, as a news annoucement, but it was rejected. (amigaworld.net)

Food for thought?
