Well, if he's truly injured... that's one thing, and hopefully he isn't!

We'll give it a bit more time yet before guru-666 and I come a knockin'. ;-)

If anyone hears from him, please leave an update here.

cheers

Damion

It is!

And check this out... while I was surfing the Monterey Park city website, I just happened to stumble upon this address by accident...

Mark Keppel High School    (626) 572-2242
501 E. Hellman Avenue
Alhambra, CA 91801
Principal:  Mr. Russell Yamanaka

It's the same address he gave me to send his case to, except addressed to "Chris Chapman" instead of the school.

So that likely means this guy is a teacher (or student) at Mark Keppel HS.

I'll call them tomorrow. They may find it interesting to know that their address is being used for the purposes of an internet scam. :-)

Interesting...

adolescent I owe you a :pint:

Thanks man!

Please let me know what you find out.  As posted in this other thread, http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=28355
I'm still waiting on my power supply.  I've opened a dispute with PayPal and he responded that I would have it within a week.  That ends in a couple of days.  If I don't get it I'll escalate my dispute to a claim.

Let me know if you get in touch with him please.

Thanks!

OK,

I spoke with a very friendly woman in the Dean's office, she is going to pass the information along. I basically gave them a courtesy call, in the event their address is mentioned in a police report or something to that effect. They're going to do what they can, and if I hear anything else, I'll let you guys know.

Maybe this will rattle his cage enough to send out the goods he has been payed for.

Anyone get their things yet?

I haven't heard back from the school.

I did notice an Amibench FS advert from someone named "Retro68k" in Monterey Park, dunno whether it's him or not, but I'd suggest caution...

He sent me a message via PayPal the other day saying he had sent my power supply but it was returned to him because of an invalid address.  Which I find odd since my shipping address is the same as on PayPal and the same one I originally sent him, and the same one that I've received several hundred packages from off of Ebay and from other members on this website.

Anyway...I told him again to provide me the proof of shipping and that I did not receive the package by May 24 I would escalate my dispute to a claim.

So, we'll see in a few days what happens.

I'm not a scammer. All of my missed ebay attempts after my injury have been paid back. Yeah life is crazy for me sometimes...i dont even have access to the internet sometimes.. but you will always get what you ordered. Sometimes life is crazy with 2 jobs and school. Especially when I deal with a retarded company who mixes up my packages and doesn't call me when they come back. Mark my words everyone who is due something from me will get their package. -D- I will call you next week. Been working to save money here the owner of my place is selling in 5 months so i've been working to get the fsck outta here and trying to do college at the same time.

Sorry for any stress or hardship i've caused, but sometimes my days are 20 hours long. Hope you guys understand.

Although I know how long days can go and stuff, if you dont have time to sell stuff on the internet (and that means going through the whole transaction) then you should either put aside one day a week .. say friday you mail out all packages (let every-1 know the day of week packages are sent) or not sell on the internet.  Your customers shouldn't have to wait long periods of time to receive their items, thats just good business practice. Well don't take this as a bashing just as a friend saying not to get in over your head with things and heck maybe even take a breather here and there.

Thanks for responding. Sounds like times have been rough, and I'm sorry to hear that. (I imagine most of us have been there at least once, I know I have.) If you need a few bones to help get everything shipped out let me know.

I have talked with pan1k on a few occasions and did not get the impression that he was a bad person prone to scamming other Amiga users.  I have left him a message offering my help if he needs it, as he lives within a couple hour drive from my home.

I can't completely vouch for him, but I think he has just gotten himself in over his head with the responsibilities he has right now.  I think he should be given a bit more time to resolve his late shipments, but it is not me that the shipments are late getting to, so let your conscience guide you.  Consider he is young and under a lot of stress for many reasons at the moment.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

I did receive my power supply from him on Wednesday.  I've not fired it up yet but plan on doing so this weekend.  I understand we all have other things in life but as in all things honest communication is key.
