Amiga isn't dead, yet. It's still got a pulse, but a faint one.

??????
Have you seen OS4???

There's nothing to be ashamed of there. It works fine.

There's no need to attack any of the OS's. I have a peg, and while it's not perfect, it does works very nicely. I have seen OS4 develop steadily. It's stable. AROS is developing very nicely also. We have various flavors of Amiga out there to play around with.
the situation is certainly not ideal, but with persistence we will continue to have Amiga around. Just stop dreaming of some Giant OverTaking.

I really don't care what bbrv do - I just ask that no one take on employment and expect to get paid. I just wouldn't want anyone to go through that hell.

If bbrv come up with some HW and it looks good, feel free to check it out. If someone comes out with HW for OS4, check that out as well.
and, THAT ladies and gentleman, is the only thing that matters.

stop looking to a Leader. we are Amiga. we need no leaders.

This seems pretty simple to me, you take what you can get.

Morph comes out on EFIKA and runs decent, then buy an EFIKA for fun.

Genesi produces a Peg III and it runs Morph, well then thats worth consideration.

Hyperion and ACube start selling machines with OS 4 that runs and works, then I'd consider that.  SAM seems like a solid hardware concept.

Amiga and ACK come out with their $490 machine working with OS 4 then I'm all for that.

The problem is so many of these companies are acting like little children and are strangling growth.

So BBRV, float some more cash to the Morph team and give them a kick in the butt for the EFIKA-capable version of Morph to be done!

Amiga, use that millions you have to friggin buy out Hyperion or something instead of this silly Kent, WA arena thing or lawsuit!  Make the problem go away, this way you can sell right away using ACK and ACube as two hardware vendor choices.

So where can i purchase OS4 and OS4 compatible hardware from? NOWHERE whatsoever, thats is not what i would class as an achievement of any kind. A hardware less OS in 2007 is a total failure and that is putting it mildly.

The companies involved have screwed up since the start, how anyone can even slag off Genesi after seeing the amazing trio in action is a mystery.

Exactly. And besides AmigaForever, we can't get _anything_ at the moment. Yet people still feel the need to have lengthy discussions only about _Egos_. Personally I don't give a flying Profanity about them and couldn't care less about fluffy blog or forum posts.
The first company that brings some Amiga-compatible hardware to the table get's my money. Pretty simple. Oh yeah, some warranty would be great too. ;-)

If people would stop with the blind hyperion defending and very harsh Amiga Inc/Genesi bashing, i would not even be posting, but hypocrisy is still very strong in amigaland.

It goes to show no matter how bad a company is in the amigaland they still get brown nosed unconditionally while companies what actual do something end up attacked.

no one is bashing the coders that made MOS and no one should bash the coders that made OS4! THEY are the only ones who have done the hard work!

why are you blaming "hyperion" for a lack of HW????
that isn't their business. They made the OS. and THAT has been done.

My "negative" comments were only about the persons who ripped people off - and that is unrelated to any operating system.

that has to do with a lack of ethics.

Ceci,

It's *SO* good to see you around here again.  :-D I assumed you were off doing clandestine operations for the American Government, after your successful black-op against the Amiga, Inc. office in NY.

Thank you, yes, I have been doing my "james Bond" thing.

Very busy with projects, health and etc.

I do wish people would take a step back and realize that some things they are whining about are a waste of time. And that things are not really AS bad as they think.

Because we have the internet we have been able to keep the Amiga alive even while there's a lack of software and then hardware....Being able to communicate and exchange creative projects is REALLY what matters and in that respect Amiga is alive and well.

@Skyraker

you don't have an amiga?  No wonder you are such a sad troll

@Methuselas
sure you have my support, but I find it frustrating to hear your call for support with no idea what I could do to help as I have no idea what youare up to.  Why not say anything at all untill you have it sorted out?  Right now youare builing hopes of god knows what.  I also don't understand how we can help you at this point other than moral support, which I guess I can give you.   --> go get em tiger!<--

Believe it or not, Mate, that's what I need, most of all. I need the Community behind a fellow Amigan, who's trying to undue all the damage that has been done.

After tomorrow, I'll be able to talk more. I promise.

They wont hand over the OS to Amiga Inc, so no new hardware will be made available till the matter is sorted out. That is completely hyperions fault for trying to claim ownership for something which is not theirs. Hopefully they will be destroyed in court.

Mate, are you EyeAm?????  :-o  Seriously?? You sound just like him.

"Hopefully, they will be destroyed in court". How quaint.

Hopefully, it will never come to that.

Bill Buck delivers products and that is all what matters

Where is MorphOS ?

Heres a proposition :

Get BB to create a new BASIC programming language for Amiga OS 3.9 - say a cross between Visual Basic and Blitz Basic.

Achieve that then I will believe BB supports Amiga OS and I will buy his products, otherwise its a TOTAL NO NO.
