Choise Ben Hermans quotes from ANN

ooh... how time flys, and how we forget...

Quote
Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 28-Dec-2001 23:12:55: (...) Thus, it is not the intent of this section to claim rights or contest your rights to work written entirely by you; rather, the intent is to exercise the right to control the distribution of derivative or collective works based on the Program.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 08-Aug-2003 13:32:59: Having said that, any litigation based on copyright infringement is costly and time-consuming as it invariably involves expert witnesses.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 10-Apr-2002 10:17:35: However, Hyperion does have a full source-code license to use and modify AmigaOS 3.1 and all NEWLY DEVELOPED parts of 3.5 and 3.9 not done by H&P.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 31-Mar-2002 22:59:26: Amiga Inc can grant a license for x86 just as we got a license for PPC. Amiga Inc have no access to the source unless they buy such rights from you.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 24-Mar-2002 10:04:58: Again, I repeat: if YOU just paid 4.5 million dollars for the AmigaOS and Amiga trademarks, would YOU be satisfied with anything less?

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 03-Apr-2002 10:54:49: @David Scheibler: " Maybe we will now see if AmigaInc really owns the AmigaOS (see court decision when Escom thought they own it)." That court decision never decided otherwise.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 03-Apr-2002 11:09:26: Amiga Inc is the copyright holder of the AmigaOS.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 03-Apr-2002 11:09:26: As such, they can oppose ANY use of the AmigaOS in violation of the copyrights they hold.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 13-Apr-2002 21:41:29: If Amiga were to go bankrupt, Hyperion can continue with development of the AmigaOS indefinitely and without limitation.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 23-Apr-2002 09:35:42: Hyperion is not a "subcontractor" but a licensee of AmigaOS.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 07-Jun-2002 15:03:57: We were willing to undertake this work because it was the last chance for the AmigaOS to survive on modern hardware.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 18-Sep-2002 10:15:45: Yes, there still is some 68K ASM in AmigaOS and guess what, there still is some 68K code in Mac OS 9.2.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 06-Nov-2002 10:24:08: Apart from the obvious fact that OS 4 is actually called AmigaOS, it draws very heavily on the 3.9 code-base.

Ben Hermans/Hyperion wrote on 01-Mar-2003 14:20:14: I say we let the Amiga users themselves decide which platform they want to run AmigaOS4 on: the dirt cheap mass produced MAI Teron/AmigaONE boards or the higher quality Pegasos (with faster DDR RAM, Gigbit ethernet and other nice options).

hermans and the friedens have been lying for so damn long, it has become second nature to them. They are the cause of the OS  not progressing to new hardware by holding the OS hostage, they claim to care about the Amiga community but it has all been a big fat lie to scam Amiga Inc. We must give a big "thank you" to the freidens for finally putting the lid on OS4`s coffin.

Well done chuckle brothers.

@Glittering

The $25,000 dollar question...

Are you just a spammer employed by Amiga.inc to spout propoganda, or do you really believe this stuff?
Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

Welcome to reality, must be a shock to you to find out the current amiga os developers are nothing more than low life scum. They have been exposed again and again, Better go to amigans for a "everything is ok" pill before you have a breakdown.

So the world may know.

While your opinion is welcome here, you are borderline on personal attacks on certain people. Please refrain from personal attacks.

Why does everything have to be so black and white for you? Is it difficult to understand that people can hold differing points of view without being "low life scum." :roll:
I haven't seen a single balanced statement from you "Glittering" - funny how you joined Amiga.org just two days after "Savan" was (temporarily?) banned for abusing the T&Cs, and verbally abusing a developer - using similar vitriol to that which you are using here.
Funny coincidence that.

@ All

The proof is in the pudding.

1. Court documents, letters, cheques, contract agreements written and signed and proofed by many people and submitted for legal proceedings.

Vs

2. Internet chat room banter, news posts, thread snippets, personal opinions.

I'm as suprised as anyone else when I READ the legal documents. I honestly started to believe all the BS that get's typed how Ainc are the enemy, Hyperion have done nothing wrong in fact it looks like it may just have been the other way around lol! go figure! Let's see what the courts decide.
It's not the question, that is the problem, it is the problem, that is the question.

@Boot_WB

Who i am is no relevance when Hyperion (not me) is at fault here.

When Amiga Inc is at fault, it is "lets hang the {bleep}s" but now its Hyperion, its "lets read all the facts first or if they are at fault, lets cover it up by calling people trolls, FUDers".

@Red

Ok.
