OS4 and ACube Systems
« on: April 19, 2007, 05:24:45 AM »
Hi all overly knowledgeable ones..

I read recently about the 'deal' (for want of a better word) between Hyperion and ACube systems. Does this mean we will actually have hardware to run OS4??

Does anyone out there have more knowledge of what is the progress etc in this situation?

Also, with the new Amiga Inc web site, and the Kent deal, could things be looking up? I mean, surely they wouldn't want their name up in 'lights' if there was no product, so maybe (maybe??) something new is be be release 'real soon now'.

I would welcome comments and ideas.

Best wishes.

Well, at least they didn't mention any new hardware in the press release. Only "named" hardware was A1 and classics with PPC boards.

I wouldn't count on a new Amiga Anywhere version, but you never know :-)

OS4 on unavailable AmigaOnes and ~8 year old Phase5 hardware? Maybe "real soon now".

OS4 on ACubes Samantha? They didn't say _anything_ about that in the press release for some reason.

Even _if_ things were looking up, it won't have anything to do with stuff that 99.9% of us are interested in.
