Keep getting Ramlib failure! :(
« on: April 13, 2007, 02:06:38 PM »
Lately I've been getting a Ramlib guru when I open certain programs.  So far it happens when I try to run Scout, Snoopdos, or the Trident GUI.  Everything else is stable and seems to be ok.  Anyone know what might be going on?  Its an A4000T loaded.
Primary:
A4000T. Phase5 PPC604e-233mhz/060-66mhz. Mediator, Z3 Fastlane, Voodoo5, Delfina, X-Surf, AD516, Peggy Plus.

Collection:
A4000D, A1200, A500, Milan060 (Atari clone), Atari MegaSTE, Atari TT030, C64, C128, Mattel Aquarius, (2) HP Jornada....

Buggy libraries overflow the ramlib stack. By the sound of it, it appears to be some MUI class.

You should use MCPramlibpatch or somesuch to raise the ramlib stacksize (no, the generic stack size extender apps won't help).

I take it this is a sudden occurance (no new software installed)? I used to have a similar problem in my 1200 when my accelerator wasn't seated correctly. Try reseating all your boards.
