Hello everyone
« on: April 10, 2007, 08:15:33 PM »
Hi Guys,

I'm an ex-A500 owner (AMOS, PenPal, PixMAte, DeluxePaint II, Hybris and Battle Squadron were my faves). Is it me or did things just work in those days?
Amazed and overjoyed to see people still at it after all these years (I GAVE my A500 away back in 1992!).

I've been googling a bit and catching up. I'd love to get my hands on OS4 (but where guys? where?). I don't need another PC type box in my house but I'm going to buy a PS3 and I wondered.....well, you know what I'm wondering and I've read loads of the pros and cons and the ins and outs of it. It just seems like such a beautiful solution to getting the Amiga back out there again (Yes, I know it won't be THE Amiga but it'll be in the Spirit of it).
Cool OS on cool hardware and kickass games to boot!
Think of the DEMOS!

Back on planet earth, we're looking at ACUBE are we? And that won't appear will it? You won't find it in the shops.
The PS3 is the only way! Someone please make it happen! That's pretty please with a cherry on the top.

I WANT one.
Are we there yet?

Well... If you really, really want OS4, you have three choices, wait until someone who has the hardware and OS4 on it sells it. Or, find someone who has it, and bug the hell out of them until they sell it to you, and last, find someone who has it, and make them an offer they can't refuse. :rtfm:

Otherwise, just put an emulator on your PC and enjoy what is already available, if you don't want to clutter up your desk with physical hardware.

Welcome to Amiga dot org. Enjoy your stay. :-D
Amiga 3000D UP and running! Hear that clicking. 8)
Amiga 3000D & 4000D in storage sadly.

Hello, nbarnes

Have a look at AmiKit , it's the best emulation solution that i've seen.

..And if you get tired of googling, i have the Amiga search engine iAMIGA

Thanks everyone. I think I'll be playing with AmiKit for a while. I think I've got some catching up to do while I wait for developments....

And fourth, you can always try to make an AmigaOne emulator for PC
