Expand your chip memory to 2 megs total on an A500 or A2000.

It also is for the CDTV.

You should be aware this is the NTSC version.

There ain't such such things as NTSC or PAL versions for Big Agnus (1 or 2 MB), it's all determined by either pulling on leg to ground or leaving it open.

My guess is that the MegaChip simply connects that pin to back to the mobo-socket, and therefore is PAL in PAL boards and  NTSC in NTSC boards.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

@Kronos

Yes there is.  The 8375 from the A600 has 2 separate versions (318069-11 is NTSC, the 318069-10 is PAL).   IIRC, pin 41 on the A600 Agnus is used for something else, the chips are not switchable.

Edit: clarified.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

That is not true for the 8375 chips as has already been said.

Again not true. The MegaChip PCB design *may* allow you to "just swap" an NTSC 8375 318069-11 for a PAL 8375 318069-10 but who knows.

You, Sir are correct. The MegAchip comes standard without a FAT Agnus. One only need install the 2MB Fat Agnus of their choice to accommodate their needs.

See this link for an example.

The Megachip 500/2000 is one the better upgrades for these computers. My A2000 is a much more usable machine with this addition!
A2000 GVP 40MHz \'030, 21Mb RAM SD/FF, 2 floppies, internal CD-ROM drive, micromys v3 w/laser mouse
A1000 Microbotics Starboard II w/2Mb 1080, & external floppy (AIRdrive)
C-128 w/1571, 1750, & Final Cartridge III+

I'm looking at some of the stuff that I got rid of and wishing I hadn't now.  A while back I sold an extra MegAChip and GuruROM... the MegAChip is great in the A2000.

I'm interested in seeing how the price jumps up in the last few minutes.
