In case
« on: March 31, 2007, 05:08:58 PM »
Just been reading about some one getting another 500 because there original one died  on them.

I wander how many of you out there have spare mobo's in case one does die on them?

I dont myself, but I think its a good idea to get a spare 1200, just incase this goes goes belly up.
Well you never know things do die now and then.

No, I don't have any spare parts, though I have on occasion considered a spare motherboard and maybe daughterboard for my A4000. I know if anything died it would be a real pain having no working machine while I source replacement parts, and of course having spares makes it possible to swap out parts to identify the problem area.

Oh, I'm hording - emulators just doesn't "do it" for me.

I currently own one A4000/060 (with one extra motherboard + 030), one A500+GVP with two or three donors and tons of parts, one A1200 and one A600 I'm building from ebay parts as we speak.

I hope this will last until I'm six feet under (which hopefully won't be too soon)
Code 6502 asm or... DIE!!
