« on: June 12, 2003, 10:44:39 PM »
I'm sorry to ask this, but does any one know how to stop the microslop internet search page from coming up in IE when if can't find a URL?

Shame on me  :-P

Run Opera32.exe and use Opera instead. :-D ;-)

But seriously, I think you can't. MSN is hardcoded into IE.

Are you sure? It never used to do it... I've not updated Blingdozes or the hexsnora program... I really don't understand.

You may have let Microsoft send you autoupdates and auto-install them. One of these may have made the patch.

Who can tell with these software fascists?

Get to Internet Options from either IE's menus or the control panel. There's an option called 'Search from the Address bar'. Select 'Do not search from the Address bar'.
I sold my Amiga for a small fortune, but a part of my soul went with it.
