OK, ignore what I had before, Bazzaq corrected me. I misinterpreted the photos:

Good luck!

I have to change mine too.. Just not around to it..
Its not the standard battery that pc's take and its soldered to the board. You will need to desolder first.. Expensive mishap ahead??????

I think it's a PANASONIC VL2020 (vanadium pentoxide)
check the model on yours to be sure.
These are probably about £6.

@Bazzaq:

do you know if they can be replaced by a more common Lithium coin type, so one doesn't have to do this every half a decade or so? :-)

This is a rechargeable lithium, so you can't put a standard lithium cell in it's place.
The VL2020 is available from a number of online electronics suppliers, Google will help.

Note that you can use other sizes from the same series, e.g. the VL2030.  The lithium manganese (ML series) charging regime will be compatible in this application, so you can also use the likes of the ML2020, ML2030, etc.

Be careful when you order one as there are about 6 different leg/mounting options, you need to get the one with two through hole PCB mounting leads.  Else it turns in a double sided tape and bits of wire job :-)

Glad Castellen is around to correct us! Because if we put a non-rechargable lithium in the place of the rechargable, it would go BOOM :-D
