Is there any hope for my Amiga?
« on: March 09, 2007, 06:06:27 AM »
My Amiga doesn't boot from hard drive. I think it also won't boot from floppy. When turned on, the power light seems to blink intermittently.
Is there any way to fix it? (Lacking a better phrase)

If you connect a monitor, does it give you a solid colour (e.g. blank yellow screen) when you switch on?

Hi Davacardo.

What model of Amiga do you have?

On my older Ami's 500 and 2000, I would get that non-booting when the ROM chip loosened itself. Pressing firmly down on them would usually solve the problem.
Amiga 3000D UP and running! Hear that clicking. 8)
Amiga 3000D & 4000D in storage sadly.

It appears to stay with a blank black-ish screen.
My model is A1200, but I will check the ROM chip nonetheless.
