Wanted to mail the author about a few bugs but realized I was using an older version, but I can't update since game's site is down and Aminet's version seems to be an older one.

Sorry, the website was stolen. I've lost the rights over the domain name. Send me an email ecoder #@& spam elasticore.nl and I can send you the latest version. I believe the Amiga version is 1.2

I've 'stolen' some disk space from our current project and uploaded the old HellChess site there.

Don't bother registration, the email adres is gone too! And Amiga versions don't need to register anyway!

@Hellcoder
Thanks, downloading it right now, HellChess rules:). BTW one of the bugs I was going to submit involved the CPU forcing a draw when it realized it had no chance:) Maybe it's a joke,  is this still there ?
Some other questions: Does the CPU "think" only the time we set it for or it's also thinking while we are?
Is there a limit in chess rules as to how many times you can repeat a play back and forth ? The CPU never gives back and forces me to do a worth move.

Pitty about the site, how did they stole it ?

Thank you so very much for making it available again.  I've d/led it and have some questions:

1)  How can I change the screen mode?  It doesn't appear to be an option in the "Settings".  It comes up in a flicker mode & I want to change it.

2) I have a friend who has a PC.  If they d/l the PC version, can they play over the internet with me?  If so, how do I configure my Amiga & their PC?

3) Why do I need to double-click the 68k AGA version top menu options when the 68k lite version, I'm able to just single-click the top menu options?

4) Are the skins that are available for d/l usable on the Amiga?

Hi!,

You can't change the screenmode (yet?), haven't done anything on HellChess for a year now. Working on something else.

You can connect an Amiga and PC over the internet, configuration isn't easy. You need to know the IP address and port and configure that in the settings menu. You also need to configure one as a 'server' and one as a client.

The lite version cannot be compared to the bigger one. The menu structure was written seperately for them, hence the difference in usage.

The skins are usable in Version 1.2 of HellChess. If you've got CGFX you should use the 16bit version, it looks much better than.
