FS: Three SGI Indys...
« on: March 08, 2007, 03:23:59 AM »
I seem to have a surplus of SGI Indys, and I'm in need of some closet space. I thought I would see if anyone on here wanted them before resorting to eBay.

The Indys were at one point used as Cyclone raster image processors, but have since had the interface boards removed (which I still have if there's interest), cyclone badges removed and Irix reinstalled.

2 machines are R4600 processors, one of which needs a hard drive. 1 machine has an R5000 processor. As I recall they all have 256MB of memory, but I'm not 100% certain of this.

I have the keyboards, mice and monitors as well, but they did not come to me with the Indycams. The monitors are 17" and well sheilded, so obviously they will be heavy and expensive to ship... You might consider buying adapter cables instead.

US residents only please, I don't want to mess with customs on equipment like this.

Make me an offer! I'll sell them as a set or individually.

A4000D, A3640 OC-36.3MHz, custom tower, Mediator A4000D. Diamond Banshee 16M, Indivision AGA 4000, GVP HC+8.

Mac Mini 1.5GHz, that might run MorphOS someday, when the fools who own it come to the realization that 30 minutes just isn\'t enough time to play with it enough to decide whether or not you like it enough to cough up $200.

 - Someone please design SOME kind of DIY accelerator for the A4000. :D -

Perhaps a more organized list is in order

One SGI Indy R5000 256MB* RAM with SCSI hard drive** and Irix installed.

One SGI Indy R4600 256MB* RAM with SCSI hard drive** and Irix installed.

One SGI Indy R4600 256MB* RAM WITHOUT SCSI hard drive (it went bad, ticky ticky noises go boom).

* not 100% certain of memory size, but I believe this to be accurate, or at least close.
** don't remember off hand what the drive capacity is.

All with SGI 17" monitors, Cyclone RIP interfaces, keyboards and mice available. No software other than a clean install of Irix on the drives. No floptical drives or Indycams with the machines.
