That's normal Amiga behaviour!

You can turn it off with a No Click utility (search Aminet (www.aminet.net) with No Click). I use BlizKick with the NoClick module.

BlizzKick is just a program to speed up your Amiga, if you have a Blizzard accelerator, Its written by Piru, here on Amiga.org and you can find it either on his site, or Aminet.

If you want to stop the floppy drive clicking, there are numerous programs available on Aminet that you can download that will work for all models of Amiga.

BlizKick comes with the NoClick module included. It's not a hardware product but an optional software piece that can be used with the Blizkick program.

As I said you don't need Blizkick if you only want to stop the drive clicking. BlizKick's main purpose is softkicking a ROM file; it can be quite complex to use the program if you want to make the most out of it.

@ amazing and Chain

Out of your own curiosity why don't you just give 'clicknot' a try?

Click on Amiduffer's Aminet link above and download the top item called clicknot373.lha (its only 3K in file size)

Just put it into your Workbench:WBStartup drawer and you won't hear any clicking at all after your Amiga has fully booted  :-)

I remember using one of them for years.  Can't remmember which one, but once it was run the floppy would click really loud once or twice then after that it'd be pin-droppingly quiet.

Ive tried four utilities i think, and its still the same, only louser clicking. It must be some problem with old floppy drives in A2000 (they are manufactured by Panasonic iirc)
