FS: GVP DSS8+ Digital Sound Studio
« on: March 03, 2007, 07:42:16 AM »
I've got GVP DSS8+ "Digital Sound Studio" for sale. It's got a clear plastic case. What's it worth to you? Hopefully, 200 million dollars. Wow, I say. :-) But, I'm willing to let it go for significantly lower.

If I find the software for it (if it had any) and manual, too, I'll throw those in. I got this item with a load of Amiga stuff and don't need it and can't test it. It looks like the previous owner didn't ever use it because the connectors are all shiny. I can't even see any dust inside, through the clear plastic (see above).

PMail me. I'll stick a picture up on my for sale site when I can, which may not be soon.

edit: Will trade for an A520.

edit: I found the disks. Install and Samples. Do they work? Let me know. :-)

Is the 1/8 phono plug the only difference between the dss8 and the dss8+. I remember the DSS8, because I have that one.

Someone already took me up on the trade for an A520. I'm waiting for it to arrive now. I don't have an Amiga monitor so I figured I'd get something to let me use a TV in color. Probably a bad deal, but I'm OK with it. :-)

Incidentally, how much did you think it would be worth?

@justthatgood

I don't know. It's already in a box and taped up for shipping, but I think it had two RCA ports and a power jack on the back.

one sold recently on ebay for ~$8ukp almost as new with disks and manual. i would've paid more than that for yours, even without the manual. oh well... it'd be nice if people would update their 'for sale' listings though.

i believe it has the two RCA inputs and an 1/8" mic input.

I liked this software, the version 3+ software for DSS had the ability to capture samples to the HDD and wasn't restricted by the ammount of RAM you had.
Very nice.
It's not the question, that is the problem, it is the problem, that is the question.

bought it last year for same amount. Really good sampler with some bonuses such as microphone pre-amp and automatic input gain. worth every penny
too lazy to use shift key properly...
