Floppy Ribbon

Hi

Silly question time. I need to get a plain floppy ribbon off Ebay for the A4000T. As I understand PC ribbons have the twist at the end. How would you technically describe the Amiga style ribbon ?

Depends if you have the PCB that goes on the disk module or not.

Hi

I robbed a ribbon from the A1200 tower in the end. Just need to see an image on Ebay of a ribbon without the twist at the end and a blocked off pin hole that suits the floppy drive unit. My problem now is that I can`t find any way to get the floppy drive out of the A4000T.

Amiga floppy cables also have a twist, but it's on pins 4-6.

On Amigas, the first drive goes BEFORE the twist and is jumpered DS0. The second comes after the twist and is DS1.

If your cable has two twists, have both drives as DS0.
