Back on topic, I wonder if moto is on the floor, fingers in his ears begging it to stop yet?

Sorry Karlos I really tried to like Aphex Twin but I just can't. It's too dissonant, and to be honest the piano pieces you recommended were, IMO, a bit dull. I'm off to listen to Thom Yorke's "The Eraser".

[EDIT]
No me reaction wasn't that severe :-) Mild aural bleeding and sore ribs due to pokes from boyfriend in his attempt to make me turn it off while I desperately tried to "engage" with it.
[/EDIT]

[EDIT 2]
Urggghhh smiley overload. Culling complete.

Oh well. Each to their own.

-edit-

Heh, if you think that's dissonant, you haven't heard anything. Try listening to "ventolin"...

I'll see your Aphex Twin recommendations and raise you "Black Swan" by Thom Yorke. In fact any of the tracks on The Eraser.

[EDIT]
I also found a very nice EP you might like on iTunes called Rerun by someone called Oskar.

Sure, I'll give them a shot when I'm at work (got an insanely fast connection there).

To be fair, I'll listen to just about anything, except for so-called modern "R&B" and boy-band/girl-band pap.

You're missing excellent British music from the 80s - 90s :-P

I must have a problem then, I can't really think of an unharmonious RDJ song... erm... tune... erm... noise :-D

If you find ventolin actually comfortable to listen to, you've probably lost all hearing sensitivity above 10kHz...

On the subject of Aphex Twin. Does anybody else (that has seen it) think that the girl spawn from "Come to Daddy" (basically girls with RDJ's face edited on) bear more than a passing resemblence to Princess Anne?

If you haven't seen said video, it's on youtube...

-edit-

Not quite the best shot but...

Nope, it's just that that "background" squeal doesn't bother me at all.

But then again, I've probably heard it thousands of times since it came out as a single :-D

It's not the squeal itself that's so bad. It's the upper harmonics of it.
