For Sale: Buddha Flash Gold Phoenix edition
« on: February 26, 2007, 09:53:26 PM »
Hello!

I no longer need the Buddha Flash Gold Phoenix edition I had bought from amigakit.com , I have used it only very little, it is practically in new condition...
comes in original packaging, a driver disk with IDEFIX '97 a small manual and an IDE 40pin cable. It does not have the phoenix connector, it is suitable for any amiga that has zorroII/III slots.

here is a crappy pic of it:

I am asking 40eur for it, including shipping. (new is ~52eur + shipping)

thanks!  :-D

If it wasn't for the fact that I use my Buddha card only when connecting extra drives to my machine (backup, copyparty etc.) and I already have a spare Buddha Flash card on the shelf in case the first one would die I'd jump on this one cuase 40€ incl. shipping is low for this nice card. I'd think an A2000 owner would love to grabb this to use cheap big IDE disks in their system.

Anyway is the only way

Mostly out of curiosity... Will this be faster than the IDE controller in my A4000D?  :-)

If not, are there any relatively cheap and fast IDE controllers for A4K?

Edit: (Cheap = Less than 80 euros incl shipping)

no, sadly it has the same speed, but offers more flexibillity in drives combination (in 4000-mobo-ide some drives just won't work together...) plus it has a clockport to add nice things, like a subway USB controller

My take is that Buddha is a bit faster than the internal IDE on A4000 yes. If you want something "much" fast then new FastATA's can be bought for 115€ from Vesalia.de.

I don't know if by using a small cpu (030/040) the buddha is faster, but with my 060 cards, the speed was the same!

update: SOLD!
