Prelude 1200 dead?
«
on:

I purchased a prelude months ago for a 1200 project.
Have just got around to installing it tonight but it's not been recognized in the early boot expansions list.
I don't have a hard drive to install AHI at the moment but shouldn't it been seen from early boot?
Can't think of any other way to test it yet, any help appreciated. :-?

Clockport devices are not zorro, and thus do not show up in early boot menu.

Assuming you're using the clockport version of the Prelude in the A1200, then it wont show up in the expansions list (Clockports don't support Autoconfig, and expansion.library doesn't know about clockports)
Doh.. beaten to it by Piru again!

Hello.
ANY IDE harddrive works in an A1200. If you have an old hd (even less than 500 Mb), try install WB, AHI and Prelude drivers in order to check if the the board is/become to be faulty.

Goodbye people.
