Anyone want a A2000 these days ?
« on: February 24, 2007, 11:28:25 AM »
I'm "breaking" a souped up A2000 system - the "desirable" bits are on ebay rght now, but I'm going to have a A2000 left over. This is verily the "long-wheelbase-Transit Van" of Amigas :-)

This one is a rev 6.2 mobo (I'm 99% sure, can check), has the original battery - working - with no leakage !!
Also there's a DKB MegaChip 2MB Agnus fitted (which is provisionally spoken for as a separate entity, on the condition that I get back a 1MB Agnus).

The whole thing seems to be 100% functional - it's missing the drive-bay cover plates - thats all. No keyboard or mouse.

I really can't see shipping this very far - if at all - unless someone wants it enough to pay something more than a couple of beers ...

I hope to make a scandoubler for the A2000 video slot, which will give new life and popularity to these machines. Just you wait a few months (amiga time scale).

PM me if and when you have that scandoubler ready. I have an A2000 I maintain as a backup Amiga just in case my A1200 dies and I upgrade it slowly as the years goes by.

A2000s are nice machines, too bad about expandability on them really..

I wouldn't mind one but don't have much cash..

Hmm.. not going anywhere near London soon though... Don't suppose u fancy dropping it off somewhere in sussex? ;)

Then u can have rid of it and maybe a few more beers than a couple...

If ur coming to cornwall sometime though bring it with and there's probably something in my giant horde of crap that might take yer fancy ;)
Back to action!
