mp3 streaming
« on: February 14, 2007, 10:31:05 PM »
Curious, has anyone got aminetradio to work on an accelerated 1200?  the program is morph os, but theoretically is plays on 0s3.9.  using the latest version v4. http://amigazeux.net/anr/
plays but loses stream or something within 10secs. or so I don't think that it has support for 0s3.9 but maybe someone knows a trick or two.  Is there an alternate way of listening to these streams on www.shoutcast.com  oh yea, i was using dial up, but it was 56k it should be enough to stream right?

It sounds like stream drains after prebuffering. You probably don't have enough bandwidth for 56k stream since you only have dialup. You could try lower quality stream but then listening to the net radio is not pleasure anymore :-P

I can't even remember having 56k. I remember  when my phone company screwed up and disconnected my DSL accidently and told it would take up to 2 weeks to get my service back up. I told them to put me up for dial up as I still had my modem in my computer incase I needed to send a fax (or maybe connect to an old fashion BBS.)

I don't remember how exactly it was, but I know that was on of the worse 2 weeks of my modern computing life. I can't even imagine how my life was like when I only had a 2400 baud modem (shudder )

Works perfectly here too with broadband.

I discovered this prog just before Xmas, what a fantastic piece of freeware.  Huge thanks to the team!
