Various licenced software in AmiKit - an idea
« on: February 04, 2007, 01:47:02 AM »
AmiKit is getting better and better with each update. There is a lot of good software included too. Some of it requires purchase of a licence to get full functionality or remove restrictions. Purchasing all of these may add-up to a large amount.
Do you think it would be a good idea to pool all the licences into one 'package', which will cost less than if all licences are purchased individually? People can then buy the whole set of licences for less and in one go. The advantage for for those who make the software is that there maybe more people interested to buy their software. The money from the 'pool' would then be split to each software contributor based on the proportion of the cost of their original standalone licence.
Perhaps, AmiKit can get a small percentage from the 'pool' since they would coordinate all this. This would help with future development and may provide incentive to other software publishers to join.
Just an idea :-)

@dr_no

My company will triple its registration fee just before negotiating to be part of the pool.
