Ye just went on ebay 2 see if there was any thing good and that was right there on the last minute waw £6.20 weiting 4 it 2 arive now!! :-D

Glad to see all that didn't make it's way into the trash bin like so many floppies have.

What is it with old floppies and long lifespans? Ive got piles of amiga discs pushing 20 years and they still work just fine. I buy a box of floppies from staples and they go bad after a few months.

Memories!

I see it has the Imagine, Music-x (which I never used), and a few others which I still have in disks.  Wish I Had all the Amiga World, Amiga Format, and CU Amiga magazines..... One day they werent at the house.  :-(

Back in the day, 3.5" floppies  were the state of the art in removable media.  (We called 'em "stiffies" 'cause they weren't as floppy as the 5" ones.)  They were the good ones, made by the good companies (for the most part -- anyone remember the Tan Floppy Fiasco?).

Nowadays, they're fading away, and don't get the same attention to quality.  I don't recommend magnetic media at all any more; too many failures these days.

I sure hope I have your luck with my old Amiga floppies; I have close to a hundred to check out.

Are floppy disks still manufactured? Or are companies now just selling off the old stock that's in the various distribution systems and warehouses?

Floppy disk quality has been pretty poor for the last 5+ years... I remember when (oh dear, sounding old!) Tandy in the UK used to sell boxes of 10 single sided DD disks for more than £43!!! I think anyone would have cried if a read/write error was found on one of those!!!
