please help - POOL OF RADIANCE
« on: June 04, 2003, 02:27:12 PM »
I use Amiga Forever and Winuae.
I cannot get to save on Pool Of Radiance (the old AD&D game from SSI), keeps asking for volume POOLSAVE. Either does not see it or says that it's not a valid DOS disk. It finally ends on saving on volume POOLGAME, that should not be a good thing, in fact after saving 4 times says volume POOLGAME is full, and that's the end of it.
I built a blank floppy from Winuae and tryed to initialize it from WorkBench 1.3 and Workbench said that it was not a valid DOS disk. Is there another way of formatting or initializing a virtual floppy? I also renamed it from workbench (even if the initialize and rename options are not always available, wonder why...).
Maybe there is another way to save games? The save state does not work, it crashes.

Please someone help, I gotta play with that game!!!

Thanks,
Pat

I think there's a format save disk option on one of the program disks if you load it on WB.

Or try creating a blank floppy using WinUAE itself, then label it poolsave.
